What you send through our forms is used to answer you and review your request, nothing else.
-
Cookies for statistics
Google Analytics uses cookies to count visits. You can refuse or remove them in your browser.
-
Maps are provided by Google
Place pages embed Google Maps, which connects your browser to Google when the map loads.

Please keep health details out
We are not a healthcare provider. Do not send us medical information.
Who we are and what this policy covers
Pharmry ("Pharmry", "we", "us" or "our") decides why and how the personal data described in this policy is used. You can contact us about privacy at any time at [email protected].
This policy applies to pharmry.com, to the place pages published on its subdomains (such as name.pharmry.com), to the listing pages for cities and categories, and to the forms on those pages (together, the "website"). It does not cover the websites of the businesses we list or other sites we link to; they have their own privacy policies.
Health information
Pharmry is a directory, not a healthcare provider or a health plan. We do not provide care, and we do not hold medical records. Information you send us is not treated as a medical record and may not be protected by health privacy laws such as HIPAA.
Please do not include health details, insurance numbers, identity documents or payment card numbers in a form or an email. We do not need them and we do not ask for them. Your browsing on a website can also reveal which kinds of care you are interested in; the sections on cookies and Google Analytics explain how you can limit that.
Information you give us
You can use the website without telling us who you are. We only receive information about you directly when you choose to contact us:
- Add Your Business form: business name, type of business, city, address, website, Google Maps link, your name, email address, phone number and your message.
- Contact form: your name, email address, the topic of your message, the page concerned and your message.
- Email: your email address, the content of your message and any attachments you choose to send.
When a form is sent, we also record the date and time, the form used, your browser's user agent and a one-way coded value derived from your IP address. This lets us block spam and limit repeated submissions without storing the IP address itself.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting servers automatically receive technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the page you request, the page that referred you and the date and time of the request. These server logs are used to keep the website secure, to diagnose problems and to understand load.
We, and the Google services we use, also use cookies and similar technologies. A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser that lets a website recognize your browser on later visits. The sections below explain which ones are used and why.
Cookies we use
The table below lists the main cookies used on the website. Names and durations are set by the providers and may change; durations are typical maximums.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors to produce visit statistics | 2 years |
| _ga_<ID> | Google Analytics | Keeps the state of a visit session for statistics | 2 years |
| NID and similar | Google (google.com) | Set by embedded Google Maps to remember preferences and protect against abuse | Up to 6 months |
The website itself does not need cookies to work. The short-lived values the forms use to block spam are kept in the page, not in a cookie.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the website: which pages are read, how long visits last, how visitors arrive and which types of devices they use. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location (derived from your IP address), device and browser details and your interactions with our pages, which include the pages you view.
We use these statistics in aggregate to decide which places and cities to add and to improve the guide. We do not use Google Analytics to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with the details you send through our forms.
Google processes this information as described in its privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits with the browser add-on available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Advertising
Pharmry is free to use. Pages may show advertising in the future, including ads served by Google. If they do, third-party vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on visits to this and other websites, and we will update this policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising by Google at https://adssettings.google.com.
Google Maps embeds
Place pages include interactive maps provided by Google Maps so that you can see where a place is and get directions. When a page with a map loads, your browser connects directly to Google's servers, which receive your IP address and information about your browser, and may set or read cookies. If you are signed in to a Google account, Google may associate this with your account.
This information is collected by Google under its own privacy policy and terms; we do not receive it. If you prefer not to load Google Maps, you can block third-party content in your browser, although maps will then not be displayed.
Your cookie choices
The website is aimed at people in the United States and does not show a cookie banner. You can refuse or remove cookies at any time through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies.
- Safari: Settings, then Privacy, then Prevent cross-site tracking.
- Firefox: Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Enhanced Tracking Protection.
- Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions.
Blocking cookies does not stop you from using the website, but embedded maps may not work.
Information about businesses and public reviews
Place pages describe businesses using publicly available information: names, addresses, opening hours, phone numbers, photos, ratings and short extracts from public reviews. Where a review extract is shown, it does not include the reviewer's contact details.
If you are a business owner or a reviewer and want information about you corrected or removed, contact us at [email protected] with the page concerned and we will review your request.
How we use information
- To answer your messages and review business submissions.
- To publish and correct place pages.
- To keep the website secure and prevent spam and abuse.
- To produce visit statistics with Google Analytics.
- To comply with the law and respond to lawful requests.
We do not use your personal data for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Who we share information with
We do not sell the details you send us through our forms, and we do not share them with the businesses we list unless you ask us to. We share personal data only with:
- Service providers that run the website for us, such as our hosting and email providers, who may only use it to provide their services.
- Google, for analytics and maps, as described above.
- Authorities, courts or advisers, when the law requires it or to protect our rights, our users or the public.
- A buyer or successor, if our business or its assets are sold or reorganized, under the same protections as this policy.
How long we keep information
- Form submissions and emails: as long as needed to handle your request, and for up to 24 months afterwards, so we can follow up on a listing or a correction.
- Spam-protection records: no longer than one hour for the request limit and for the life of the submission record otherwise.
- Server logs: for a limited period set by our hosting provider.
- Analytics data: according to the retention settings of Google Analytics.
We keep information longer only when the law requires it or to resolve a dispute. You can ask us to delete your submission earlier.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under US state privacy laws such as those of California, you may have the right to:
- Know about, and get a copy of, the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct personal data that is inaccurate.
- Delete your personal data.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data, or of its use for targeted advertising.
To use any of these rights, write to [email protected]. We will reply within the time the law requires and may ask you to confirm your identity first. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.
Notice for US state privacy laws
The website collects identifiers (such as name, email address and IP address), internet activity (such as pages visited) and approximate location, from you and from your browser, for the purposes described in this policy. We do not sell personal information for money.
Children
Pharmry is a general audience website and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Form submissions are stored in a location that is not publicly accessible. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, our providers or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
