Supporting the ophthalmology team, the optician will provide proper fitting eyewear, assist patients in frame and lens selection, order and verify eyeglasses, and perform adjustments and repairs. The optician will stay up-to-date on new innovations in frames and lenses through continuing education.
High School Diploma or GED. One to three years retail optical experience. Certified with the National Board of Opticianry.
License or certification
Must be currently certified by the American Board of Opticianry, or obtain within two (2) years of start date.
$21.64 – 31.23 / hour
Hours / Pay period
Varying shifts, Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Occasional Saturday shift during a sale.
