Overview
Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924 CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney Neb. At CHI Health Good Samaritan you’ll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery a level II neonatal intensive care unit a nationally accredited cancer center comprehensive neurosurgery advanced orthopedic program and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.
Responsibilities
PRN OpportuntiyAssists with pre-procedure education and preparing patient for procedure Scrubs and assists physicians during proceduresPerforms monitoring function throughout procedures.  Documents clinical information in patient recordOperates hemodynamic monitoring equipmentPerforms arterial and/or venous sheath removal utilizing deployment of closure devices, manual pressure, or mechanical compression and transport patientsPerforms daily maintenance, quality assurance testing, equipment cleaning, and supply re-stockingEffectively communicates and works cooperatively with team members, patients, families, guests, and providersOn-call rotation may be required and must be able to respond to emergent within 30 minutes of notificationParticipates in all safety, security, and infection control programs that are mandatory as well as those required and provided by the departmentDemonstrates work practices consistent with CHI Health and department-specific safety, security, infection control, and HIPAA policiesResource floating within the metro area may be required in order to provide staffing support to other campusesHelloImagingImagingNebraska
Qualifications
EducationGraduate of an AMA approved program in Radiologic TechnologyLicenses & CertificationsBLS form the American Heart Association Must hold a Registered Radiologic Technologist RT(R) credential from the ARRTRadiology Technologists must possess a Medical Radiographer License in Nebraska and/or a Diagnostic Radiographer Permit in Iowa to practiceLicense or permit must be held in the state(s) in which you practiceKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of Radiology views and equipment  Knowledge of EKG rhythms and abnormalities  Knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy
